Kiran Abbavaram is ready with his new film KA, which will hit screens on October 31, 2024. He is going head-to-head with Dulquer Salmaan's Lucky Baskhar, which also releases on the same day. The competition is quite tough, but Kiran is in no mood to slow down, as he is highly confident about the film's outcome.
KA's pre-release business details are here
We have now learned about the film's detailed pre-release business, and the thriller has locked a substantial amount based on Kiran's market. A source close to the team revealed that KA's pre-release business has been set at Rs 12 crore in Telugu states.
Not many know that KA is also released in Hindi and other South Indian languages. The deal for the non-Telugu rights has been secured for Rs 18 crore. This means the pre-release business for KA is valued at Rs 30 crore, the highest ever in Kiran Abbavaram's career.
In Telugu states, KA needs to make at least Rs 10 crore to break even. The young actor has done only a few films, most of which have not performed well, but he has invested a lot into this film and is promoting it aggressively.
In an interview, Kiran stated that no one in India has attempted a subject like this before and that KA will captivate audiences with its twists and turns. "I challenge anyone to show me if such a subject has ever been narrated on the Indian screen. If someone finds a reference, I will stop acting in films," says Kiran Abbavaram.
Tanvi Ram and Nayan Sarika play the female leads in this film, which revolves around a postman who arrives in a village and uncovers mysterious truths about the village and its history. The director duo, Sujeeth and Sandeep, have helmed KA, which also features some familiar faces in key roles.
