Jung Hae In's latest romantic endeavour is reportedly underway. Following his captivating performance in tvN's Love Next Door alongside Jung So Min, the K-drama sensation is in discussions to take the lead in a new romantic comedy series titled “This Shitty Love” / “This Sucky Love” (working title).

Jung Hae In to collaborate with Hayoung from The Trauma Code

On February 11, South Korean media outlet OSEN reported that Jung Hae In has received an offer to portray the male lead in this forthcoming project. He is believed to be considering the role favourably and is anticipated to continue his reign as the ‘romance master.’ His character, who specializes in boxing, serves as the second-in-command within an organization.

Actress Ahn Ha Young, known mononymously as Hayoung, has recently garnered attention for her role in Netflix's popular medical drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. In this new series, she will portray a detective suffering from amnesia, opposite the Snowdrop actor. Fans may also recognize her from the Netflix series Doona, led by Bae Suzy.

Jung's popularity surged once again with last year's TV drama Love Next Door, largely due to his undeniable chemistry with co-star Jung So Min. The duo became a trending topic online as rumours of their off-screen romance circulated.

The upcoming drama is already generating significant anticipation, given the actor's impressive track record as a romantic lead in series such as Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and Snowdrop.

Jung further showcased his diverse acting abilities by successfully portraying a rookie detective in the high-stakes film Veteran 2 or I, the Executioner.
