Jr. NTR is one of India's top stars, and following the massive success of RRR, his fame has skyrocketed internationally. Japan is one country where his popularity has really taken off. In response to this excitement, the team behind his upcoming film, Devara Part 1, has decided to release a Japanese dubbed version.

The latest news reveals that Devara Part 1 will hit theaters in Japan on March 28, 2028. To maximize its exposure, Jr. NTR and director Koratala Siva are currently in Japan, actively promoting the film. A video of Jr. NTR showcasing the iconic hook step from the Ayudha Puja song with a Japanese fan has gone viral, exciting fans all over the globe.

In Devara Part 1, Jr. NTR takes on one of the most intense and formidable roles of his career, with the film raking in over ₹500 crore at the box office. His performance as a middle-aged man received widespread acclaim, and he’s set to appear in a dual role in the upcoming Devara Part 2. Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in Telugu cinema with Devara, is not participating in the promotions in Japan, and neither is the film’s music composer, Anirudh Ravichander, as he’s currently tied up with Coolie.

Next up, Jr. NTR will star in an action-packed film directed by Prashanth Neel, which is scheduled to begin production after the Ugadi weekend in March 2025. In the meantime, Devara was co-produced by Jr. NTR and his brother, and it turned out to be a huge financial triumph for them.

For director Koratala Siva, Devara represents a powerful return following the box office disappointment of his last film, Acharya. He made sure to present Jr. NTR in a fresh and exciting way, winning over both fans and critics.
