Actor Jr NTR's film, directed by Prashanth Neel, officially commenced production on Thursday. Both Jr NTR and the production company, Mythri Movie Makers, announced the news via social media, sharing an image of Prashanth on set.

NTR Neel begins shoot

The filming of NTR Neel has commenced. The production company released a photograph of Prashanth as he directs a scene, standing atop a vehicle with numerous extras positioned behind a police barricade. In the background, a damaged Ambassador car appears to have been involved in an accident, accompanied by scattered bicycles near a fire.

In their post on X, the producers stated, “The SOIL finally welcomes its REIGN to leave a MARK in the HISTORY books of Indian Cinema! #NTRNeel shoot has officially begun. A whole new wave of ACTION & EUPHORIA is ready to grip the Masses.” Jr NTR also shared the image on his Instagram stories, captioning it, “And it begins…#NTRNeel.”

About NTR Neel

Jr NTR and Prashanth's film was officially announced on Jr NTR's birthday in 2022. In May of the previous year, while extending birthday wishes to Jr NTR, Prashanth unveiled a poster for the film and indicated that production would commence in August. However, when the time arrived, only a pooja ceremony took place. Initially, the film was scheduled to start shooting in March of the same year.

After several postponements, the film, which is expected to be released in 2026, has finally commenced shooting. Following the pooja ceremony, the producers stated, "This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! #NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026." Nonetheless, it remains uncertain whether the film will meet its scheduled release date.

Additionally, Jr NTR is set to make his Bollywood debut in Ayan Mukherji's War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.
