Joju George's film Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal was originally scheduled for theatrical release on January 16, 2025, coinciding with the release of Basil Joseph's Pravinkoodu Shappu. However, just prior to its debut, the film's release was delayed. It has now been assigned a new release date of February 7, 2025. Notably, this new schedule places it in direct competition with another film featuring Basil Joseph, Ponman, which is set to premiere a day earlier on February 6.

Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal new release date

The producers of Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal have revealed via social media that the film, featuring Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu, is set to be released in theatres on February 7.

This film, described as a family drama, has received a U/A certification, indicating it is appropriate for viewers aged 13 and older. In their announcement on Instagram, the team stated, "Emotions, Bonds and everything in between. A story that feels like home."

On the other hand, Ponman features actor-director Basil Joseph in the lead role along with Sajin Gopu, Lijomol Jose, Deepak Parambol, and Anand Manmadhan.

Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal plot and cast

The film titled Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal tells the story of Narayanee's three sons. The characters are portrayed by Joju George, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Alencier Ley Lopez. Central to the narrative is the deep emotional connection shared among the three brothers.

In addition to the main trio, the film includes notable performances by Thomas Mathew, Garggi Ananthan, Sarasa Balussery, Sajitha Madathil, and Shelly N Kumar in significant roles.

The film is directed by Sharan Venugopal, who is making his feature film debut with Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal. Previously, Sharan Venugopal's short film Oru Paathiraa Swapnam Pole received a National Award. Nadhiya Moidu and Garggi Ananthan were involved in the short film.

Joby John Thadathil is producing the film under his Goodwill Entertainments banner, which also produced the successful film Kishkindha Kaandam featuring Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, and Vijayaraghavan.

Pani OTT release

Meanwhile, Joju George’s Pani has finally made its much-awaited OTT premiere. The revenge thriller, which also stars Sagar Surya, Junaiz VP and Abhinaya, is available for streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium from January 15, 2025.
