Growing up we have seen a lot of films that revolve around a brother and sister relationship and their strong bond and pure love for each other. We have also been watching the brother taking care of his sister, almost every time when it comes to protection. However, Alia Bhatt's Jigra is the total opposite of it. This time, it's the sister, who is all set to do everything possible to make sure she protects her brother. After much anticipation, the makers have finally unveiled the trailer of the film and all we can say is that the wait was worth all this time.

Featuring Alia Bhatt as a badass elder sister, the film takes us to the life of a brother and sister who have nobody's back but each other. Although it is termed as an action-packed thriller, it won't be wrong to say that it is surely going to make you sob like a baby when the emotional turmoil takes over. The 3-minute 1 1-second-long trailer surely gives justice to the hype the makers have created around the film. 

The trailer begins with Alia Bhatt's character speaking to her younger brother, played by Vedang Raina, where she asks him multiple questions as he is arrested in a foreign country. What follows next is a broken, sad, but 'Tigress sister' who knows she might have to go to dangerous routes to save his brother. 

The trailer of Jigra also gives us some glimpses into the terrifying action sequences which we have never seen Alia Bhatt doing before. From running like a maniac on the streets to dramatically falling down a tree to walking on the roof of a building with a gun in her hand, Alia aces every scene and has all our attention. Vedang Raina, on the other hand, looks like a perfect fit for the film. With his minimum scenes in the trailer, the actor made sure to leave an impact with his acting prowess wanting us to watch more of him. 

On top of all these, the background score, and the tunes of the song "Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka" is nothing but exceptional.

When and where to watch Jigra?

Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions. Written by Debashish Irengbam and Bala, it is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 11, 2024.
