According to early estimates, Sacnilk, Alia Bhatt, and Vedang Raina's movie Jigra remained steady at the box office on day 3. The film earned a little over Rs 5 crore. With a collection of Rs 5.65 crore, Jigra's first weekend figures are Rs 16.75 crore. For those unaware, the Vasan Bala directorial minted Rs 6.55 core on its first Saturday (October 12).
Jigra is a story of two siblings Satya and Ankur. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. When Ankur is imprisoned and tortured in jail, Satya transforms into a hero and tries to attempt the unthinkable, which is to break him out of the prison.
Divya Khossla takes a dig at Alia Bhatt
A few days ago, Divya Khossla accused Alia Bhatt of faking her film Jigra's box office collection. Khossla shared a photo of an empty cinema hall. She further penned a note that read, "Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty … all theaters going empty every where. Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut Jigra hai.. khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent (sic)."
Where to watch Jigra on OTT?
It has been confirmed that Jigra will be released on Netflix after its theatrical run. It will take at least 45 to 60 days for the Alia Bhatt-starrer to have an OTT premiere.
