Jigra starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. Vasan Bala's directorial is co-produced by Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Today, September 4, the makers dropped a new video featuring Bhatt on social media.

New video of Jigra starring Alia Bhatt

A while ago, Eternal Sunshine Productions took to their Instagram account and dropped a new video of the upcoming film Jigra. In the clip, we can see Alia Bhatt holding a piece of paper where a boy's and a girl's sketches are printed. She gets protective of her little brother in the clip. In the background, Bhatt can be heard saying, "Tujhe mein kuch bhi hone nahi dungi, kabhi bhi…”

Notably, Vedang and Alia are paired as brother and sister in the film. 

Sharing the video, the production house captioned it with the same dialogue and added, "Stay tuned! #Jigra in cinemas 11th October"

Speaking to Film Companion, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress said that Jigra is a stunning tale of bravery, passion, and tenacity. Her goal is to always bring back stories that are both genuine and ageless and to collaborate with talented artists to bring such stories to life.

Alia Bhatt opens up about signing Jigra just after the birth of Raha

While interacting with Forbes, Alia gave insights into her film Jigra. She described the film as different from the projects she had worked on earlier. 

She also opened up about the moment she signed the project after she gave birth to her daughter Raha Kapoor. Alia said, "At the time I signed Jigra, it was just after I had given birth, a couple of months, like 4 months, so I was feeling very protective. Something about me was feeling… like I was just in Tiger’s mode wanting to protect my cub. So Jigra is all about protecting your loved ones."

After wrapping up the shoot, the actress posted pictures with her co-star Vedang Raina and wrote: "Jigra oh… abki teri baari ho (musical note emoticon) #VedangRaina & that’s a film wrap on #JIGRA (punch emoticon) @Vasan_Bala @swapneel25." Reacting to the post, Vedang Raina commented, "The best ever"

Meanwhile, Jigra was supposed to be released on September 27 but now it will hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
