Jeet is to be the lead in Raihan Rafi’s next

It was earlier reported that Raihan Rafi will have Jeet in his next film. However, The actor refuted the claim then. Now, it was confirmed that there will be a film by Raihan with Jeet as the lead. The film is going to be jointly produced by India and Bangladesh. Previously, Mimi Chakraborty acted in a film directed by Raihan’s Toofan with Shakib Khan.
Toofan (now streaming on Hoichoi) was released this year. Bangladesh's Shakib Khan and India's Mimi Chakraborty played the lead. The film was a blockbuster and its song Dustu Kokil became viral. SVF co-produced the film. Now, Raihan Rafi is all set to make his new film, Lion, jointly produced by India and Bangladesh, where Jeet will play the lead.
The film will be released during Eid next year. Shyam Sundar Dey will produce the film. The director told TV9 Bangla, "I am elated to start the film. Jeet da is a superstar. We have been holding meetings for a long time. This will be an attractive project that Jeet da has never done before. I also like to take on challenges. Perhaps that is why films like Surongo or Toofan were blockbusters. I want to add a new dimension to Bengali cinema."
However, it is not yet finalized who will play the female lead. Jeet was last seen in Boomerang where he played a double role. Rukmini Maitra played opposite him. The film did well at the box office.
