Brother, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Jayam Ravi in the lead role, is set to hit big screens for the occasion of Diwali, the makers of the film announced on social media on Saturday. The film is directed by Rajesh M Selva.
Brother to release for Diwali
We had earlier reported that actor Jayam Ravi will be collaborating with director Rajesh for a film titled Brother. The makers of the film, on Saturday, announced that the film is set to hit big screens for the occasion of Diwali.
Brother is touted to be a family entertainer. It features actor Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Jayam Ravi and the director. Besides Jayam Ravi and Priyanka Arul Mohan, the film also features actors Bhumika Chawla, VTV Ganesh, Natraj Subramanian, Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Seetha, Sathish Krishnan, MS.Bhaskar, Suresh Chakravarthy, Vriddhi Visha, and Master Ashwin in prominent roles.
It is backed by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with Harris Jayaraj scoring the music for the film. The technical team includes Vivekanand Santhosam cranking the camera and Ashish Joseph as the editor.
Brother on OTT
It is to be noted that the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by ZEE5. The film will also be available on OTTplay Premium subsequently. An OTT release date is yet to be announced. Brother marks Jayam Ravi’s 30th project in his acting career. It is touted to be a bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi was last seen in revenge action-drama Siren. The film released earlier this year and is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor has upcoming romantic drama Kadhalikka Neramillai, co-starring Nithya Menen and sequel of Thani Oruvan, which will be directed by his filmmaker brother Mohan Raja. Besides this, Jayam Ravi has an upcoming fantasy drama Genie.
