Jathara is the latest film from young actor Sathish Babu, who has written, directed, and starred in this social drama, crafted with a realistic touch. So far, the first look and promotional material for the film have been impressive. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the makers released the trailer, and it looks quite intriguing.

Jathara trailer review

The trailer opens with a village announcement proclaiming that the village goddess is displeased because Paleti, the temple priest, has performed black magic, rendering the temple impure and causing the goddess to abandon the village.

Following this, mysterious events unfold, and dark forces begin targeting the protagonist, a devout follower of the goddess, portrayed with strong screen presence. The production design and writing are immediately captivating, with Sathish Babu playing the lead role and narrating the village sequences with great impact.

The film is set in the Chittoor district, and the local dialect and screenplay add an authentic touch, as seen in the trailer. Along with the trailer release, the makers announced that Jathara will hit theaters on November 8, 2024. Produced by Radhakrishna Reddy and Shiva Shankar Reddy under the Radhakrishna Production Company, in collaboration with Movieteck LLC, the film has generated buzz with its unique story.

Few people know that Jathara is inspired by a true event that took place a few years ago in Andhra Pradesh. K.V. Prasad’s cinematography elevates the trailer and gives the film a fresh aesthetic.

Deeya Raj stars as the female lead, with R.K. Naidu, Gopal Reddy, Mahaboob Basha, and Sai Vikranth in key roles. More details about the film will be revealed soon. For now, the trailer promises an engaging story. Stay tuned for further updates on this project.
