Disney has just unveiled the first trailer for Tron: Ares, the eagerly awaited sequel to Tron: Legacy (2010) and the third chapter in the legendary sci-fi series. Directed by Joachim Rønning, who previously worked on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, this film aims to blur the lines between the digital world and reality.

The trailer introduces Ares, a highly advanced Program portrayed by Jared Leto, who takes a bold leap from the digital universe into the real world on a mission that could alter humanity's course forever. That's right—this marks humankind's first encounter with A.I. beings, and it’s not your typical robot rebellion. This A.I. is sleek, enigmatic, and maybe just a bit too charming to be trusted.

Joining Leto on this thrilling adventure are Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges—because when you're making a Tron film, you might as well gather a star-studded cast. Jeff Bridges returns to his role, bringing back that nostalgic Tron vibe amidst the futuristic chaos.

Written by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne, and based on the original characters created by Steven Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird in Tron (1982), Tron: Ares is set to be a visual feast filled with mind-bending CGI, heart-pounding action, and maybe some deep thoughts on what it means to be human in a code-driven world.
