Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, and Roshan Mathew’s Ulajh are all set to clash on August 2. With their trailers, teasers, and songs, both movies have created a buzz amongst audiences but not enough. Although Janhvi is promoting the film with full enthusiasm, Devgn is keeping it low with the promotions. Which movie will win the box office race on August 2? Let's find out! 

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Vs Ulajh

Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Panday boasts an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shantanu Maheshwari, Saiee Manjrekar and Jimmy Sheirgill. With this film, Ajay is set to romance Tabu after decades which audiences are excited to watch, but is that enough? Well, the film promises to be a unique musical love story with an epic romantic drama spanning 20 years and is set between 2002 and 2023. 

After looking at the trailer and the songs of the film which were released by the makers earlier, all we can say is that with good word of mouth, the movie can change its fate for itself. However, if that doesn't happen, there are fewer chances for the film to become a box office hit, just like Devgn's last release - Maidaan. 

On the other hand, Ulajh stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, alongside brilliant actors like Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the film will portray the journey of a young IFS officer who belongs to a prominent family and gets embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far away from her home turf, at a career-defining post. 

The trailer of Ulajh looks promising but it is solely for the metro audiences given it is a niche urban thriller. This one will also completely depend on good word of mouth to keep its momentum at the ticket window. 

Speaking about the box office clash, as both the films have a totally different genre, the competition is not really among them but it is with the audiences to if they will pick these films as a theatrical watch or wait for them to stream on OTT platforms and skip the theatre watch. 

While Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, according to the buzz, might open around 3-4 crore at the box office, Janhvi Kapoor's film is expected to open between 1 to 2 crore.
