Paatal Lok has become a fan favorite crime thriller on Amazon Prime Video, and the good news is that season 2 is on its way! The trailer just dropped, and it’s already creating a buzz. This new season promises some exciting twists, diving into migrant mysteries and risky drug syndicates, with Jaideep Ahlawat back as Hathiram Chaudhary. In a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on returning to the role and hinted at what’s in store for the upcoming season.

Jaideep Ahlawat shared in an interview with The Times of India that stepping back into the role of Hathiram Chaudhary after four years didn’t feel like a struggle at all.

He mentioned, “By the end of season 1, Hathiram felt a sense of freedom; he no longer needed to prove anything to his wife, son, or coworkers. He’s much more at peace now and has come to terms with everything. Plus, returning to Hathiram wasn’t tough for me since it’s a character I really connect with, and I have so many great memories tied to it. It felt like coming back home.”

In a chat with IANS, Jaideep shared that Hathiram's main trait is his relentless pursuit of the truth, regardless of whether he can change anything about it. He’s all about uncovering what’s real. "Season 2 is going to unveil a lot," Jaideep hints. He also mentioned that new challenges arise, and it seems like the lessons from the past are really helping the character out.

The trailer for the upcoming season gives us a sneak peek into a gripping crime thriller that takes inspector Hathiram Chaudhary into new and challenging situations. Set in the vibrant landscape of Nagaland, we see Hathiram join forces with his loyal partner, Imran Ansari, as they tackle deep-rooted issues and societal wrongs in their quest for justice.
