Fateh box office collection on day five: Following a decline in earnings on its initial Monday, Sonu Sood's directorial debut experienced a resurgence in audience interest on Tuesday. According to Sacnilk, the action entertainer recorded a modest increase in revenue coinciding with the celebration of Makar Sankranti.

Fateh numbers see a slight rise

Fateh generated ₹1.60 crore on its fifth-day post-release, significantly surpassing its Monday earnings of ₹95 lahks. After consistently earning over ₹2 crore from Friday to Sunday, the film experienced a decline on Monday, with earnings just shy of ₹1 crore. However, due to the Makar Sankranti festival, it rebounded to some extent, achieving over ₹1.5 crore on Tuesday. To date, Fateh has accumulated ₹9.30 crore at the domestic box office, nearing the ₹10 crore milestone.

In terms of box office performance, it is encountering intense competition from several South Indian releases, including the Hindi dubbed version of S Shankar's Telugu action film Game Changer and Bobby Kolli's Telugu action drama Daaku Maharaaj. Additionally, it faces competition from ongoing releases such as Haneef Adeni's Malayalam action thriller Marco and Sukumar's successful action sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rise. This week, it will also contend with new competition from Kangana Ranaut's Bollywood period political thriller Emergency.

About Fateh

Fateh centres on the battle against cybercrime, drawing inspiration from actual events that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film features performances by Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah. Co-produced by Sonu's Shakti Sagar Productions and Zee Studios, Fateh has received acclaim for its remarkable action sequences.

Sonu expressed, "I have often pondered why Bollywood films do not showcase action scenes comparable to those in foreign cinema, and why international audiences do not discuss our action sequences. This thought has lingered in my mind; however, as an actor, my influence was limited by factors such as production budgets and scripts. Upon becoming the director, I made it a priority to incorporate this element into my film."
