Jaat, featuring Sunny Deol, was highly anticipated as one of the leading action films of 2025. Unfortunately, its box office performance did not meet expectations. Following the success of Gadar 2 in 2023, there were high hopes for Jaat to replicate that success. As reported by Sacnilk, Jaat collected Rs. 7.50 crore on its first Monday, bringing its total earnings to Rs. 47.75 crore thus far. The film is projected to surpass Rs. 50 crore by day 6, according to box office estimates.

In a recent discussion, Sunny Deol commented on the current trend of producing sequels to films. He stated, "Certainly, if a film succeeds and the audience appreciates the character, a sequel can be created. However, it is only possible if the elements resonate with the viewers; otherwise, a second part cannot be made."

Additionally, reports indicate that "Jaat" will be available for streaming on Netflix following its theatrical release.

Sunny Deol on expressing anger as main emotion rather than romance

In a recent interview, Sunny Deol remarked that his characters often display anger in a spontaneous manner, emphasizing that every emotion has its rightful place. 

"I only experience anger when something truly disturbs me. The characters I portray in my films also encounter similar emotional phases. Generally, people tend to remember these moments rather than when I am involved in a romantic scene," he stated. 

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film Jaat features Sunny Deol in the lead role, where he confronts corruption and battles the merciless gangster Rana Tunga (played by Randeep Hooda), who instills fear in the village alongside his brother Somulu (Vineet Kumar Singh).
