Jaat box office collection day 7: Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, was released in cinemas on April 10. After seven days, the film has yet to cross the Rs. 60 crore mark. The film earned its highest single-day collection on Sunday (April 13), Rs. 14 crore. However, on day 7, the film faced a slight dip ahead of the release of Akshay Kumar's historical courtroom drama, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh.

According to Sacnilk, Sunny Deol's film Jaat garnered Rs. 4.00 crore on its seventh day (April 17 early estimates), bringing its total earnings to Rs. 57.50 crore. The film is projected to surpass Rs. 70 - 80 crore by the following week. However, it may experience another decline as Akshay Kumar's highly anticipated movie, Kesari Chapter 2, is scheduled for release on April 18. It will be intriguing to observe how both films fare at the box office in the weeks ahead.

Christian community demands a ban on Jaat

The  A segment of the Christian community has expressed their disapproval of a church scene featuring Randeep Hooda in the film Jaat. In this particular scene, Randeep is depicted standing inside a church, positioned beneath a cross that is situated above the sacred pulpit, while members of the congregation are engaged in prayer. The community has stated that this representation has offended their religious sentiments, leading them to call for a ban on the film and to advocate for legal action.

In the meantime, Jaat tells the story of Ranatunga, a merciless antagonist portrayed by Randeep Hooda, and Baldev Pratap Singh, also known as Jaat, who stands against Ranatunga's corrupt practices.

Kesari Chapter 2 presents a historical courtroom drama centered on the endeavors of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair to reveal the truth surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. His legal struggle against the British Empire to seek justice for this act of genocide stands as one of the most significant events in Indian history. The cast includes Akshay portraying Sankaran, R. Madhavan as the antagonist Neville McKinley, also a lawyer, and Ananya Panday as a fellow lawyer who aids Nair in his quest. The film is set to be released in theaters on April 18.
