These days, it seems like movies love to wrap things up with cliffhangers, leaving us hanging for a sequel down the line. A big question fans are asking is if Shankar’s first Telugu film, Game Changer, will get a follow-up featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani as the leads. Srikanth, who has an important role in the movie, shares his thoughts and reveals some extra info about it.

Srikanth talks about his experience acting in Game Changer.

Srikanth recently chatted with the media in Hyderabad about his role in the film and what it was like to work on it. When discussing his collaboration with Shankar, he mentioned, “He’s already a legend in the industry. From day one, he made us feel at ease. He’s super patient and willing to do as many takes as needed. He really understands how he wants his actors to perform and seamlessly brings his vision to life. We just follow his lead.”

He also gave a shoutout to SJ Suryah’s performance, saying that his role in Game Changer surpasses his work in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. He added, “I share scenes with everyone: Charan, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, and Samuthirakani. SJ Suryah is fantastic. His character is packed with humor, cleverness, and sarcasm, elevating it beyond what he did in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. It’s been an incredible experience working alongside such diverse characters.”

If Game Changer gets a follow-up.

Srikanth takes on the role of an older chief minister in Game Changer, and to achieve that look, he has to wear prosthetics, spending around three hours in the makeup chair every day. He even had his doubts about nailing the character during the narration, but once the prosthetics were applied and he saw the transformation, he felt ready to tackle the role. He mentioned, “Working with Shankar garu is a dream for many, and I feel lucky to have such an important part in his film.”

When asked about the possibility of a sequel to Game Changer, which seems to be a trend these days, Srikanth said, “No. I believe Game Changer is meant to be a standalone film. While some of Shankar’s recent projects may not have hit the mark, he’s always been a solid director. I’m hopeful he’ll make a strong return with this one. It’s packed with all the commercial elements that audiences love, including political twists. I really hope it turns out to be a big success.”

Game Changer is set to hit theaters on January 10 next year, just in time for Sankranthi.
