Recently, numerous internet users have highlighted the resemblances between Dabba Cartel and the JioCinema (previously known as Hotstar) series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, featuring Dimple Kapadia in the leading role. In an interview with India Today, Shabana Azmi addressed these comparisons, stating, "Prior to viewing the show, I was apprehensive about potential direct comparisons. However, Shibani (Shibani Akhtar, the creator of Dabba Cartel) expressed confidence and reassured me that such comparisons would not occur. Her conviction provided me with a sense of relief. Upon watching the show, I found it to be exceptionally well-produced, yet distinctly different from ours. Their setting is exotic, characterized by unique costumes and a specific dialect. In contrast, our series presents a more realistic portrayal, focusing on the lives of middle-class women. Therefore, I believe there is no substantial basis for comparison."

Raji (Shalini Pandey) operates a tiffin service alongside her househelp and friend, Mala (Nimisha Sajayan). One day, Mala falls victim to her boyfriend's deceit, who coerces her into distributing marijuana through their food delivery service.
