The initial installment of five films announced by director-producer R Chandru under his new banner, RC Studios, titled Father, has been completed. To commemorate this milestone, Chandru unveiled a motion poster featuring Prakash Raj and Darling Krishna, with Kiccha Sudeep performing the honors. The motion poster offers insight into the film's narrative, emphasizing that a father is the singular individual capable of making any sacrifice for his child, while also reminding viewers that the strong hands that nurtured them should always be remembered.

The poster features Prakash sitting on a bench, accompanied by a bag and holding an umbrella. Dressed in winter attire, he appears prepared for a journey. This imagery has drawn comparisons to Hemanth M Rao’s Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, which showcased Anant Nag as an elderly man suffering from Alzheimer’s. However, Chandru asserts, “There is no similarity between Father and Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. We have crafted a film that aligns with contemporary trends and will resonate with audiences.”

R Chandru, known for Kabzaa, has inaugurated RC Studios and announced plans for five pan-India films.

Father, written and directed by Raj Mohan, presents a narrative that captivated Chandru upon hearing its initial premise. “Despite Raj Mohan's roots in Tamil Nadu, the story he shared resonated with me deeply. I believed it was a compelling tale that deserved to be told to Kannada audiences. It explores the relationship between a father and son and promises to be a heartwarming film. It is both hauntingly beautiful and emotionally impactful,” Chandru remarked regarding his latest project.

Kiccha Sudeep extended his congratulations to R Chandru on the launch of the five films, while fans expressed their desire for collaboration.

Upon Krishna's involvement, he proposed both Amrutha Iyengar and Nagabhushan for the film. Amrutha has previously collaborated with Krishna on Love Mocktail and Love Mocktail 2, whereas Nagabhushan worked alongside the actor in Kousalya Supraja Rama. The film has completed its principal photography, with only two songs remaining to be filmed. Although it was shot in Kannada, it is set to be released as a pan-India project in various languages.
