Orange Elephant Studios, teaming up with Dot Media, is about to change the game in digital storytelling with India’s first-ever Vertical Micro Fiction Web Series. Drawing inspiration from the massive popularity of K-Dramas and Chinese Micro Fiction apps, this innovative format is perfect for today’s fast-paced digital crowd, offering captivating short stories designed for vertical viewing on smartphones.

The series is crafted by Afroz Khan and Omkar Phatak, who are experts in the micro-fiction genre. These episodes require a unique writing style that hooks viewers right from the start, keeps them on the edge of their seats with surprising twists, and leaves them wanting more with intense cliffhangers. Pulling off this level of storytelling is no easy task, making this series a bite-sized treat that will pop up on countless Instagram feeds for free.

This is India’s first large-scale Micro Fiction Web Series created without the support of brands or advertisers. Show creator Afroz Khan shared, “Creating content without the constraints of a brand is a privilege to cherish. It might mean funding the production yourself, but it allows for creative freedom.”

The cast features Sakshi Keswani, a prominent digital content creator, alongside Akshay Anand Kohli, a seasoned theatre actor and coach. Kiann and Sakshi Sneh also play key roles in the series.

The show will be available exclusively on Instagram, with Meta supporting the initiative, highlighting its importance in India’s digital content landscape. Produced by Purvi Khan, Shubham Singhal, Om Singh, and Vaibhav Pathak, this groundbreaking series is set to transform how Indian audiences enjoy fiction—one vertical episode at a time.
