Idly Kadai release date: This is when you will get to see Dhanush and Nithya Menen’s second collaboration in big screens

Actor Dhanush has been on a direction spree in the recent times. After helming films like Raayan and Paa Pandi, he had announced two more directorial, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam and Idly Kadai. The latter will see Dhanush reuniting with actor Nithya Menen once again, after Thiruchitrambalam. Idly Kadai is all set to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, the makers announced on social media on Friday.

Dhanush’s upcoming film Idly Kadai is all set to hit theatres next year. The makers have planned for release on April 10, 2025, it was announced on social media on Friday. Idly Kadai is touted to be a light-hearted family drama. The film will see GV Prakash Kumar, once again collaborating with Dhanush and will be scoring music.

Idly Kadai is backed by Dawn Pictures in association with Wunderbar Pictures. Others part of the technical crew consists of Kiran Koushik cranking the camera and Prasanna GK handling the edits. A new poster was released, which shows Dhanush walking towards a hut which has a nameboard "Sivanesan Idly Kadai"

Speaking about the film, Nithya Menen earlier said, “If Shobana was getting outside the comfort zone, in Idly Kadai, I had to get doubly outside my comfort zone. He (Dhanush) has again put me in a position doing something which no one would picture me playing.”

Where to watch Thiruchitrambalam on OTT?

If you would like to revisit the last film Nithya Menen and Dhanush worked together, Thiruchitrambalam, you can stream it on SunNXT app or alternatively on OTTplay Premium app. The film is a light-hearted drama, which is directed by Mithran Jawahar.

Thiruchitrambalam won Nithya Menen her first National Film Award for Best Actress. It revolves around a food delivery boy named Pazham who lives with his grandfather and father. While his attempts to find love end in failure, his best friend Shobana is by his side through the ups and downs. Actors Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Raashii Khana, and Priya Bhavani Shankar play supporting roles in the film.
