Idly Kadai: Nithya Menen reunites with Dhanush after Thiruchitrambalam

We had earlier reported that actor Dhanush will be helming a film titled Idly Kadai. Also starring Dhanush in the lead role, the film has the actor writing the project as well. Now, actor Nithya Menen has officially announced that she has joined the cast of Idly Kadai.
Nithya Menen joins Dhanush’s Idly Kadai
Dhanush recently announced his fourth directorial Idly Kadai. The film is produced by debut producer Aakash Baskaran under the banner Dawn Pictures. The shooting for the film is underway in Theni. While it was rumoured that actor Nithya Menen will part of the cast, the actor confirmed the same on social media. Nithya took to Instagram to share a photo of herself along with Dhanush having a cup of tea, as she announced that she is part if Idly Kadai. It is to be noted that the upcoming film will mark the second collaboration between Dhanush and Nithya Menen after Thiruchitrambalam.
Others speculated to be part of Idly Kadai include Prakash Raj, Arun Vijay, and Rajkiran. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. Previously, producer Aakash said that Idly Kadai will be on the lines of Thiruchitrambalam and Yaaradi Nee Mohini, a light-hearted family drama. A release date is yet to be announced. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring music for the film.

Where to watch Thiruchitrambalam
Nithya Menen who recently received National Film Award for her role as Shobana, worked with Dhanush in Thiruchitrambalam. The film is directed by Mithran Jawahar and is available for streaming on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.
The film revolves around a food delivery boy named Pazham who lives with his grandfather and father. While his attempts to find love end in failure, his best friend Shobana is by his side through the ups and downs. Actors Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Raashii Khana, and Priya Bhavani Shankar play supporting roles in the film.
