The makers of upcoming Malayalam film, Idiyan Chandhu, have confirmed its release date. The action drama, which stars Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the lead role, will hit the big screen on July 19. The trailer of the movie was unveiled by the cast and crew of the project today (July 18). It will be running in theatres along with Anand Madhusoodhanan’s family entertainer, Vishesham.

The story picks up speed and intensity as soon as Vishnu Unnikrishnan's character, Idiyan Chandhu, punches a local thug in order to make his presence known. He identified himself as a Class 12 student who frequently gets into trouble because of his impatient nature. Lena, who plays his mother, seems to be tired of him and is trying everything to get him to change. The story promises to be an engrossing depiction of Chandhu's hardships and run-ins with a local gunda gang.
