Ustad Ram Pothineni and dashing director Puri Jagannadh's deadly combination of most-awaited pan India movie 'Double Smart' is creating huge buzz nationwide with sensational promotional content. Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is playing a powerful character in this movie. Produced by Puri Jagannath and Charmi Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects, this movie stars Kavya Thapar opposite Ram Pothineni. Double Smart will be releasing worldwide on August 15th on Independence Day in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. In this context, heroine Kavya Thapar shared the features of the film in a press conference.

How did you get into 'Double Smart' projects?

Puri sir, I gave auditions with Charmi. They liked my audition. But due to a small accident, I gained some weight. They told me to lose some weight. I worked hard for two months and lost weight. I fit the character created by Puri.

I feel very lucky to work in a film with such a wonderful combination. I am very happy to be a part of a movie with a big star cast like Ram garu and Sanjay Dutt. Also the combo of Puri Garu and Mani Sharma is very famous. It was a thrill to work in such a combo.

I wanted to become the heroine of Puri Jagannath. I auditioned for Smart Shankar but I didn't make it. Now I am more happy to get an opportunity in this movie which has double fun and entertainment. Puri is a great director. His vision is amazing. I learned many things from him.

How is your character going to be in this?

In this my character is very bold and strong. A self-taught girl. He is very smart and at the same time has innocence in him. I also have fight scenes in it. As an actor, I always wanted to do such a character. It is a pleasure to have such a character with this film. I enjoyed doing this character a lot.

How did you feel dancing with Ram?

It was the best experience. I got morning sickness on the first day of the song shoot. It is a song that requires a lot of energy and power. I was very upset after getting sick. However, I came to the set. But Charmi saw me and immediately took me to the hospital. A lot of care was taken. I was very upset that the shooting would be upset because of me. After three days I was discharged with double energy. I gave my best dance. The entire team was very supportive.

Ram is a very passionate actor and works very hard. They are highly energetic. He is an amazing person. I learned many things from him. Our chemistry was the best.

Do you have combination scenes with Sanjay Dutt?

There are. Working with him was a mind blowing experience. I grew up watching his movies. He is a legendary actor. Sharing the screen with him felt like a dream come true.

What kind of things did you learn from Puri?

Besides being patient, I learned many things from him. His vision is very clear. Very cool on set. There is also a good philosopher in him. His clarity towards life is amazing.

How was working with Charmy?

Charmy madam boss lady. I was treated very caring. He is a power house. They are very friendly. Hatsup to Charmy.

Smart Shankar became a big hit. How is double smart?

There is a double smart double blockbuster. Smart Shankar has no comparison for this. A complete different film. I enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to August 15th.

Double Smart is your favorite song?

Mar Muntha Chod Chinta, Steppa Mar is my favourite. They don't leave my mind. I also enjoyed Kya Lafda.

Mani Sharma is a legendary composer. I feel lucky to dance to his songs.

Double Smart will be released in Hindi too, how is this feeling?

It is very exciting to be released in Hindi as Double Smart Straight. This is a very special movie for me. As a double smart heroine, I feel this is a blessing.

What kind of characters are you going to do?

I want to do action roles. Loves to do action. Also want to do adventure movie.

Your upcoming movies?

Doing Vishwam with Gopichand. A few more projects are in the pipeline.
