I Am Kathalan: Premalu makers and Naslen’s film to release in theatres in August

Malayalam actor Naslen Gafoor is set to reunite with director Girish AD for the fourth time in his latest project, I Am Kathalan. The makers of this film have confirmed that it would have a theatrical release in August. However, they did not reveal an exact date. A teaser or trailer giving a glimpse into the characters and plot are expected in the coming days.

The young star had previously worked in Girish's films Thaneermathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, and Premalu, which hit theatres earlier this year. Both of them reached new heights as a result of Premalu's success, and fans' expectations for their next films increased. I Am Kathalan is not a romantic comedy, as Girish had previously stated in an interview with OTTplay, and instead has a serious undertone. He continued, "It has elements of a crime thriller."

Anishma, who also starred in Vineeth Vasudevan's Poovan, will play the lead female role in the film. I Am Kathalan is a project that is anticipated to be Girish's biggest endeavour to date. The cast of the film also includes Vineeth Vasudevan, Lijomol, Kavitha, TG Ravi, Sajin, Vineeth Vishwam, and Dileesh Pothan. Sidharth Pradeep composed the music for the film.

Premalu has been the talk of the town for a while now because it was the Malayalam film industry's unexpected hit of the year. Positive reviews have been given to the romantic comedy because of its impromptu humour and unstructured but captivating story.
