Delhi Crime is a hit series on Netflix that dives into the investigation of the 2012 Delhi gang rape and the notorious Chaddi Baniyan Gang. The show features a talented cast including Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain, and Rajesh Tailang. In the first season, we see DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, played by Shefali, taking charge of the gang rape case, while the second season shifts its focus to the Chaddi Baniyan Gang. Recently, it was announced that Huma Qureshi will be joining the cast as the main villain.

The Indian series Delhi Crime, which won an International Emmy Award, is set to return for its third season, and Huma Qureshi is coming on board as a villain. According to Variety, she’ll be going up against Shefali Shah’s popular character, DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, who’s affectionately called “Madam Sir” by her team.

Huma couldn't contain her excitement when she shared with the portal, "I felt thrilled and privileged when the creators reached out to me to take on the villain role in the third season of this globally celebrated series." She’s also looking forward to seeing how the new season keeps the audience entertained.

Delhi Crime features Rasika Dugal as Neeti Singh and Rajesh Tailang as Inspector Bhupendra, both of whom are set to return for the third season. Tanuj Chopra is back in the director's chair, having previously directed the second season in 2020. This time around, he’s teaming up with Sudhanshu Saria, the director of Ulajh, who will play a significant role as one of the main writers.

Huma's got some exciting stuff coming up! She's part of the cast for Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. She hopped on board in May 2024, and with Subhash Kapoor directing, the film is set to release in 2025.
