Rishi Kapoor on Not Working with Nasir Hussain Again

The late Rishi Kapoor once spoke to Zee Classic during the Nasir Hussain Film Festival. He said, "I worked with Nasir Sahab in two movies. I would have worked with him in four films, but guilt kept me away. I somehow felt that Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai did not perform as well as Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, and I thought I must have hurt Nasir Sahab's feelings. That’s why I didn’t work with him again."

He added, "I would always make excuses, saying I was busy or working on something else. Even Pancham (R.D. Burman) would call me, asking me to meet Nasir Sahab, but my guilt made me feel that he should work with other actors. Pancham Da, Majrooh Sultanpuri Uncle, Nasir Sahab, and I were a fabulous team."
