Pinkvilla has reported that Hrithik Roshan is poised to make his directorial debut with the highly anticipated Krrish 4. Rakesh Roshan confirmed this development to the portal, stating that he has entrusted the direction of Krrish 4 to his son, who has been deeply passionate about this franchise since its beginning.
"Hrithik possesses a clear and ambitious vision for advancing Krrish’s journey alongside the audience for the coming decades. I could not be prouder to see him take on the role of director for a film that holds immense significance for our family. Krrish 4 to go on floors in 2026
The portal has reported that filming for Krrish 4 is set to commence in early 2026. The script has been finalized, and pre-visualization for this superhero narrative is currently in progress.
In a conversation with the portal, Rakesh expressed that the collaboration between Hrithik and Aditya Chopra as director and producer, with his support, represents a unique and highly creative partnership. "I am confident they will transform Krrish 4 into a cinematic experience unlike any other in India. Our aspiration is to make India proud on a global scale with a grand experience like Krrish 4," he remarked.
In the meantime, Krrish (2006) is a superhero film that follows Krishna Mehra, who inherits extraordinary powers from his father, Rohit, and becomes the superhero Krrish. He confronts the malevolent scientist Dr. Arya, who seeks to exploit Rohit's abilities for his own purposes. The subsequent sequels have also received significant acclaim from both audiences and critics.
