The rise of South Indian films taking over Bollywood is reaching new levels, with numerous directors from Tamil and Telugu cinema venturing into Hindi films. Up next is Bobby Kolli, a well-known director who recently worked on Daaku Maharaaj featuring Balakrishna. He’s now gearing up to direct none other than Hrithik Roshan for his upcoming project.

Hrithik Roshan is set to collaborate with a Telugu director

In more detail, the team behind Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers, previously approached several Bollywood stars to kick off their Hindi production venture. They even offered Hrithik Roshan a substantial advance. However, the project stalled as Hrithik was tied up with other commitments.

Now, after several years, the partnership is finally coming together, and the project with Hrithik is about to be finalized. Our sources at OTTplay reveal that Mythri Movie Makers recently organized a meeting between Bobby and Hrithik in Mumbai.

A source close to the production team has shared that Hrithik is really excited about the script he heard and is keen to get involved. The insider also mentioned that Hrithik has requested a detailed narration and a finalized script from Bobby. After Bobby completes the script, he plans to meet with Hrithik again to finalize everything.

This new project is an action drama and is expected to be produced on a grand scale. Hrithik is currently recovering from an injury he sustained while filming War 2. Once he wraps up the shoot for War, he will likely make a decision about this new venture.

Bobby Kolli has previously worked with stars like Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, and Balakrishna, and all of his films have been major successes. If Hrithik gives him the green light, it could mark a significant shift in his career. We'll have to wait and see what unfolds in the near future. Meanwhile, Mythri Movie Makers are preparing for their Hindi debut, Jaat, featuring Sunny Deol, which is set to hit theaters on April 10, 2025.
