Hridayapoorvam signifies the long-awaited collaboration between Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad after nearly ten years. According to the most recent information, the film, produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, is scheduled to commence filming on February 10 in Kochi, with Mohanlal expected to join the cast at a later date. Malavika Mohanan has been cast as the female lead, taking over the role from Aishwarya Lekshmi.

All about Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam

Sathyan Anthikad and Mohanlal, renowned for their classic films such as Nadodikkattu and Varavelppu, are set to collaborate once again for the upcoming project Hridayapoorvam. Filming for the Malayalam movie is scheduled to commence on February 10, with Mohanlal, who is currently anticipating the release of L2 Empuraan, expected to join the cast on February 14. Initially, the production was planned to start in December 2024.

Previously, it was reported that Sathyan Anthikad had confirmed Aishwarya Lekshmi as the film's leading lady. However, recent updates indicate that Malavika Mohanan has now been cast in the role of the female lead.

Sangeeth Prathap, recognized for his role in Premalu, along with Siddique, is reportedly included in the cast. Additionally, Sangita Madhavan Nair, acclaimed for her poignant portrayal in Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala, will be joining the ensemble of the Mohanlal-led film.

This production is anticipated to be a family-oriented entertainer, featuring music composed by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography by Anu Moothedath. The screenplay and dialogues have been crafted by Sonu TP.

Furthermore, the film is set to have a shooting schedule in Pune, which is projected to commence in late March 2025.

Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad films

Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad last worked together on the film Ennum Eppozhum, which also featured Manju Warrier and was released in 2015. The renowned Malayalam actor and the esteemed director have collaborated on numerous projects that have garnered a significant fan base over the years.

Several films from the 1980s, including Nadodikkattu, Varavelpu, Pattanapravesam, Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam, and Gandhinagar 2nd Street, continue to enjoy popularity today. Subsequently, the filmmakers worked together on projects like Pingami, Rasathanthram, and Snehaveedu.

L2 Empuraan release

Mohanlal is currently preparing for the upcoming release of L2 Empuraan, which is directed by Prithviraj. This film features a talented cast, including Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith, and is scheduled for a significant release on March 27, 2025. 

Recently, the teaser for this highly anticipated film was unveiled, generating considerable excitement across the internet.
