Imagine the joy, comedy, and mayhem of the Housefull world condensed into a musical composition; this is the future lineup for the fifth instalment. Rumours suggest that director Tarun Mansukhani is working on a spectacular song featuring the entire ensemble, including Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Riteish Deshmukh, and Akshay Kumar. They supposedly shot the song over three nights at Andheri's Chitrakoot Grounds.
Celebrating 14 years of Housefull
An insider told Mid Day that they have planned this song to honour the franchise's 14-year history. The production will be outsized, with lavish costumes, grand sets, and choreography that showcases the cast's lively camaraderie. The makers have scheduled a nighttime shoot for November 21–23. Remo D'Souza is choreographing the number, which features over 100 backing dancers. Today is the first day of rehearsals for the cast.
Another source from the production stated that Tarun aimed for a vintage Housefull vibe, which was quirky and over-the-top, with moments in the song that would have the crowd in stitches.
European cruise schedule wrapped up
Meanwhile, the crew of Housefull 5 has been working nonstop on a cruise ship for the past 40 days. The European schedule concluded, and the remaining cast members began the last leg in Mumbai earlier this month. They are currently working on an elaborate song and a movie for the climax.
According to the insider, they are building the set to resemble a luxury cruise, in keeping with the spirit of the film. Furthermore, they are constructing elaborate sets that depict the interior of a bungalow. They will shoot the entire ensemble here during the climax. This timeline is also where the majority of the crowd sequences will take place.
Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt joined the unit during this stint. Dutt's visa rejection prevented him from travelling to the UK.
Wrapping up before Christmas
The team intends to finish up before Christmas, according to another source. The team has prepared a musical arrangement and plans to shoot at least one more day. The number won't be canned until early December because the set is made to order.
