Hot Spot is 2024 released Tamil film, written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Karthick. The film is a hyperlink social drama, which connects four stories talking about various issues plaguing the society. The makers of the film, on Friday, announced the sequel for the film in the making. In addition to this, actor Vishnu Vishal has come onboard as producer of the film, it has been revealed.

Hot Spot 2 announced

Hot Spot, written and directed by filmmaker Vignesh Karthick, was released in theatres on March 29. Just like the filmmaker’s earlier films like Plan B and Adiyae, Hot Spot too was laced with narratives with shock values.

Now, on Friday, the makers of Hot Spot announced a sequel of the film. Vignesh Karthik will be reprising his role as director of the film. The makers released a quirky announcement video, which starts off from the place Hot Spot ended. The video reveals that Vishnu Vishal, who was last seen in Lal Salaam, will be coming onboard as producer of the film. The makers are yet to announce the cast and technical crew of the sequel.

In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, director Vignesh Karthick had said that he has a total of eight stories, out of which four made it to Hot Spot. The director had also said that the success of the first part will determine him making the sequel.

Where to watch Hot Spot?

Hot Spot marked Vignesh Karthick’s third directorial and is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video. The film is also availabl e on OTTplay Premium. It stars Gouri K Kishnan, Adithya Bhaskar, Sandy, Janani, Ammu Abhirami, Kalaiyarasan and others. Vignesh Karthick also plays a small role in Hot Spot.

A hyperlink story, the film narrates four different situations involving people from different walks of life as they confront a problem that is thought to be a taboo by the society. Ranging from the changed lives of a newly married couple, to how society treats children, and how preconceived notions can dictate an individual’s actions, Hot Spot throws light on some pertinent topics.
