Nicole Kidman's forthcoming film, Holland, is a significant addition to her initiative of collaborating with a female director every few months. This thriller, helmed by Mimi Cave, features Kidman alongside Mathew Macfadyen, known for his role in Succession. The film is scheduled to make its debut at the South by Southwest film festival on March 9, after which it will be available on OTT platforms.

Holland is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 27, 2025. In anticipation of this release, the streaming service has unveiled a trailer. Nicole Kidman portrays Nancy Vandergroot, a resident of a small Midwestern town who harbors suspicions about her husband, Fred (played by Macfadyen), potentially leading a double life. As Nancy delves deeper, she discovers that the reality may be far more troubling than she had anticipated. In her role as a teacher, Nancy's husband serves as the local preacher. When he departs for a 'business trip' to Greenville, which lasts only one night, she collaborates with her colleague Dave Delgado (Gael Garcia Bernal) to uncover the truth, ultimately revealing dark secrets about the town she calls home.

In the trailer, Nancy begins by expressing that her surroundings resemble a dream—utterly flawless. However, she later reveals that beneath this seemingly perfect facade, there exists a sense of suffocation. Fred emphasizes the significance of Nancy's sense of safety to him, stating that his greatest joy lies in crafting narratives and exerting control over their environment. This is illustrated by his meticulous arrangement of toy figures in what appears to be a scaled-down representation of the town, suggesting an underlying manipulative intent.

Resolute in her pursuit of the clues, regardless of their destination, Nancy understands that the revelations she uncovers will ultimately devastate their lives. The film "Holland," penned by Andrew Sodorski, features performances by Jude Hill, Rachel Sennot, Lennon Parham, Isaac Krasner, Jacob Moran, and Jeff Pope, among others.
