It feels like 2024 was always planned to be dedicated to the charm and thirst traps called Glen Powell because how else do you explain the star ruling first the big screen and then the streaming space with his caliber and killer looks? Just when we were recovering from the hot shock called Anyone But You, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, the actor decided to then bring us to Netflix and give us another banger.

Hit Man, a thriller released on Netflix recently with Powell at the center, is trending across the globe with people mostly having only good things to say about it. But one thing we unanimously agree on that needs some explaining is the climax lecture that Glen gives. In case you haven't seen the movie, this is the right time to head back. You have been warned.

Hit Man Ending Explained

Directed by the man behind the iconic Before series, Richard Linklater, the film focuses on a professor moonlighting as a hitman of sorts for the police department of his city. Life takes a drastic turn when he falls for a woman who enlists his service. The movie is a well-explored saga that lands at a very interesting plateau. However, the climax is rather intriguing, where after a massive showdown, we see Glen Powell’s hitman giving a lecture on optimism to his students. Read on as we decode it.

Garry Johnson, aka hit man, helps Madison kill a police officer, enabling their life to live as a couple with their children. This is the life he always wanted rather than hiding behind many identities. So when he starts with a lecture and ends with one, he is advising students for their final test. He tells them to live life to the fullest and seize the identity they want for themselves, encouraging them to be open to transformations.

The advice comes from his personal experiences and his mistakes that led to some very fatal inconveniences. Hit Man explores this man who has lived through many identities in search of the one that suits him the most. When he finds it, he achieves what he wanted and now wants to live his life to the fullest He also advises the kids to do so. Glen Powell, in an interview with Today, also shed light on the same.

Glen Powell on Hit Man Climax

Talking about the climax lecture of Hit Man, he said, "If you feel like you’re stuck in life, if you feel like you’re stuck in an identity that’s not making you happy, just make the choice to change. And I think that’s what you see: two people that make each other very happy in new roles and these new faces and identities."
