On the initial Friday of February, two Hindi films premiered in theaters. The first was Loveyapa, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, a romantic comedy that serves as a remake of the successful Tamil film Love Today. With a robust promotional campaign supported by Junaid's father, Aamir Khan, the film generated significant anticipation. In contrast, Badass Ravikumar, an action film characterized by its self-aware humor, marked the return of composer Himesh Reshammiya to acting. As the weekend progresses and the initial excitement subsides, it appears that Himesh's film has emerged as the more successful of the two.

Loveyapa box office prediction

Loveyapa has experienced a lackluster debut at the box office. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, is projected to earn approximately ₹1.25-1.50 crore in India on its opening day. Trade analyst Atul Mohan has confirmed the film's disappointing performance, noting, "The film has even faced multiple show cancellations in various regions of the country. The collections are quite low." According to Sacnilk, Loveyapa recorded occupancy rates of only 5.6% and 8.3% for the morning and afternoon screenings, respectively.

Badass Ravikumar box office prediction

In contrast, Badass Ravikumar, a sequel to Himesh's previous sleeper hit Xpose, is performing significantly better, with Sacnilk reporting nearly 14% occupancy across India by the afternoon. Industry sources suggest that the film may surpass ₹4 crore on its opening day, a commendable figure considering its modest scale. "Given the competition it has faced, the film is achieving remarkable success," remarked a distributor, adding, "In several locations, exhibitors are contemplating replacing Loveyapa with Ravikumar." Badass Ravikumar is particularly thriving in tier-2 and tier-3 markets as well as single-screen theaters. If positive word of mouth continues, the film is expected to experience a substantial increase in earnings over the weekend.
