I Am Kathalan

The romantic narrative of Naslen and Mamitha Baiju's Premalu, characterized by its lighthearted charm and engaging protagonists, achieved remarkable success beyond Kerala's borders. Consequently, the anticipation surrounding Naslen's new project with director Girish A D, known for Premalu, was considerable. I Am Kathalan centers on Vishnu, who faces humiliation at the hands of his girlfriend's father and subsequently seeks revenge. Hello Mummy

As Stree 2, Munjya, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 delivered a blend of eerie horror and humor to Hindi cinema audiences, the Malayalam film industry also made its mark with Hello Mummy. Featuring Sharafudheen and Aishwarya Lekshmi, the narrative centers on Boney, who aspires to marry Steffy. However, he faces the challenge of winning over Steffy's mother, who, in a chilling twist, has been deceased for over twenty years. This horror-comedy premiered in theaters in November 2024 and is anticipated to be available on OTT platforms in January 2025.

Anand Sreebala

Arjun Ashokan stars in this mystery thriller, inspired by a true event that occurred in Kerala. The narrative centers on Anand Sreebala, who embarks on an investigation into the death of Merin, aiming to secure justice for the young law student. The cast also includes Sangita Madhavan Nair, renowned for her role in Sreenivasan's Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala, a performance that earned her a state award. Despite its theatrical release in November, Anand Sreebala did not make a significant impact, and it remains to be seen how it will fare in the OTT market, where it is anticipated to be available soon.
