The film also stars Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Raashii Khanna and others. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film, which is produced by Sun Pictures.

Anegan

Anegan is a period romantic thriller starring Dhanush and Amyra Dastur in the lead roles with veteran actor Karthik playing the villain. The film is directed by KV Anand and traverses across different time lines. It revolves around the lead pair, after the girl gets memories from their past lives together. How does those come in handy in their present lives form the crux of the story. Dhanush and Amyra Dastur play triple roles in the film.

Kadhal Kondein

Kadhal Kondein is one of the earlier films starring Dhanush. Directed by his brother Selvaraghavan, Kadhal Kondein is about a socially awkward boy who joins a college and falls in love with a girl. While does not reciprocate his romantic feelings, the story revolves the psychological turmoil he undergoes. The film became a commercial success upon its release and won positive praises for Dhanush’s performance.

Moonu

Moonu is psychological romantic drama following the lives of two teenagers who eventually fall in love and get married. Played by Dhanush and Shruti Haasan, the film is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and marked the debut of Anirudh Ravichander as composer. All the songs from the album became chartbusters. Sivakarthikeyan appears in a supporting role in Moonu.

Aadukalam

Aadukalam is a sports drama revolving around rooster fights, which is prominent in certain parts of Tamil Nadu. The film is directed by Vetrimaaran and won six awards at the 58th National Film Awards, including Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor. Dhanush bagged his first National Film Awards for Aadukalam. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kishore, Aadukalam Naren, and others.
