According to recent reports from Pinkvilla, Priyadarshan has decided to pause the production of Hera Pheri 3 in favour of Bhooth Bangla, which features Akshay Kumar. The director has prioritized the horror-comedy and aims to complete it for release prior to commencing work on Hera Pheri 3. A source revealed, "The filmmaker plans to finalize the editing for visual effects and post-production by June 2025. Following that, he intends to dedicate time to the script before initiating the filming of Hera Pheri 3." It is evident that Priyadarshan's focus is firmly on Bhooth Bangla rather than Hera Pheri 3.

So, when is Hera Pheri 3 going on floors?

Hera Pheri 3 is not currently in production, despite the earlier release of leaked photographs, which were merely part of a look test. Following the completion of Bhooth Bangla and its subsequent preparation for release, Priyadarshan will dedicate six months to the script and pre-production of Hera Pheri 3. Consequently, filming for Hera Pheri 3 is not expected to commence before December 2025.
