While the world is still busy obsessing over Deadpool & Wolverine (the streaming data says so) and replaying that Henry Cavill's cameo again and again, they are also curious as to what the future has for the Superman alumni in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There have been so many rumors and speculations about what he will do with Marvel next but nothing confirmed. But while all of that is still fresh and making a loud buzz, a new rumour has claimed that Henry has had conversations with LucasFilm and might as well join the new Star Wars trilogy that is being shaped by Simon Kinberg. The update is indeed exciting considering the role will not be anything less than the lead for an actor of Cavill’s stature.
Henry Cavill in Talks for New Star Wars Trilogy?
In case you have been away from news, LucasFilm is developing a new Star Wars trilogy as we speak. The trilogy will be produced and written by Simon Kinberg (no update on the directors yet). While it was being said that the movies might be the episodes 10, 11, and 12 in the Star Wars lore, a new update said that it will be a completely different trilogy from what we have already seen and on a completely new path. So now as we wait for more updates, it is heard that the trilogy might star Henry Cavill. Read on to know everything you should about the same.
Henry Cavill is a comic book adaptation and sci-fi genre favourite no doubt. The actor was Superman in the DCEU, he plays Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher on Netflix, that cameo as Cavilriene in Deadpool & Wolverine is still very much fresh. Add to all of this, the Marvel Studios is finding a way to bring Henry to play another character in the MCU. Between all of this is the update that said Cavill has had conversations with LucasFilm to play a part in the next Star Wars trilogy.
According to My Time To Shine Hello, the Superman fame is in active talks to join the new trilogy. There is no confirmation on whether he is the central character or the antagonist. No one yet knows the storyline this new trilogy is going to tap into. What is confirmed is that if things fall into play and Henry Cavill ends up joining the Star Wars universe, the fandom will go into a happy coma.
Meanwhile, as per Comic Book Movie, Henry Cavill is actually a fan of the Star Wars franchise and years ago spoke about his thoughts on joining it. "I am a fan of them. I would have to read a script and speak to a director before I could possibly say if I’d be interested in being in a movie. It’s not as simple as, you know, yes, it’d be fun and ideal, but what if the script sucks… you’ve got to keep your fingers crossed that it works,” he said.
