Jack Kesy is the man of the hour, making waves in the superhero realm beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DCU. The actor, who has previously been a part of the MCU, now becomes the Right Hand of Doom in the upcoming franchise film Hellboy: The Crooked Man. This story, touted as the most exciting Hellboy tale, is set to release soon and has been generating significant buzz as it enters the promotional phase. Consequently, Kesy is fielding numerous questions, with the most popular being, "What other comic book-inspired character would he want to play?" It turns out that Jack has a very interesting answer: Joker.

Jack Kesy Wants To Play Joker

Similar to Hellboy: The Crooked Man, the Joker character has also been a viral topic, especially with the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux (aka Joker 2) starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga set to release this October. However, it's Heath Ledger’s Joker that continues to captivate audiences worldwide. In a new interview, Jack Kesy revealed his desire to play Joker in the DCU if given the chance, citing the character's challenging nature as a major draw.

The Hellboy: The Crooked Man star, after some deep thought, chose Joker, as reported by CBR, and explained his reasoning: "The Joker. Because it's challenging, it's difficult, it's like a whole big deal, you know, obviously with the history of what happened to [Heath Ledger]. There's a lot of darkness around it, but it's just a challenging character. I like to be challenged."

Heath Ledger portrayed Joker in The Dark Knight, directed by Christopher Nolan, with Christian Bale as Batman. The movie is still labeled iconic, and Ledger is a cult favorite actor. However, Jack Kesy might still have a chance at playing Joker if he wishes to try his hand, as James Gunn will soon begin searching for his Clown Prince of Crime, and the auditions will give Kesy an opportunity to test his luck.
