Mike Mignola on Hellboy: The Crooked Man

Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, who recently celebrated 30 years of the character, has called Hellboy: The Crooked Man the closest adaptation to the comics and extremely accurate. According to Comicbook, he said, “There is a particular moment in the church that I loved so much. I thought, 'Are they going to add special effects to that?' It’s just a quiet little moment. It could have easily been cut, but it stayed all the way through." Mignola added, “Not that I didn’t like the other movies or love bits and pieces from them, but I was so grateful to see someone truly committed to putting the comics on screen. This time, it really happened.”
