Nine years later, the poignant love story of Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, "Sanam Teri Kasam," has finally received the recognition it deserves. On February 7, 2025, the film was re-released in theaters alongside Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's "Loveyapa," as well as Himesh Reshammiya's "Badass Ravikumar." This unexpected re-release astonished audiences as it surpassed its original lifetime earnings, garnering significant appreciation. Amid the renewed enthusiasm for "Sanam Teri Kasam," the creators have revealed exciting details about the sequel, generating considerable anticipation among fans.

Script of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is ready

Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the original film, which debuted in 2016, did not perform well at the box office. However, it gained popularity after its release on OTT platforms. The filmmakers are now preparing to develop the sequel, and fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival. In an interview with India Forums, Rao and Sapru disclosed that the script for "Sanam Teri Kasam 2" has been finalized, and they have a clear vision for the story's continuation.

They stated, "Actually, this story was conceived in two parts from the beginning. We have the second part ready, and we are confident about the direction Inder's story will take next. This is why, at the end, he approaches that tree, and Suru's voice resonates with her dialogues, setting the stage for part 2."

When will Sanam Teri Kasam 2 release?

Regarding the release date for "Sanam Teri Kasam 2," the directors provided an update, indicating that they aim to launch the sequel on Valentine's Day 2026. They remarked, "We are prepared with the script for part two, which has been ready for some time. Given that everyone watched part one this Valentine's Day, it is essential to deliver what the audience desires next year. In fact, the songs are nearly complete as well. For all those who cherished 'Sanam Teri Kasam' part one, part two is on the way and in the pipeline."

The film's re-release has thus far garnered a total of Rs 18.50 crore at the box office. With Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava set to debut on February 14, Sanam Teri Kasam is well-positioned to maximize its earnings during this period.
