Half Love Half Arranged season 2 is scheduled for release in a few hours, and from the looks of season 1, the story has taken a drastic turn. Maanvi Gagroo’s Riya found out that Karan Wahi’s Jogi is not actually the person she thought he was. Jogi might not be single, since he has a girl child. Riya witnessed the meeting to be sure. With that, a lot is waiting to be explored in the coming season. Here’s a recap of everything from Half Love Half Arranged season 1…
An introduction to Maanvi Gagroo’s Riya
Maanvi Gagroo, in the role of Riya Tanwar, wished to get married at the age of 30. She was dating Mandeep (Simarpreet Singh) for a long time, but he was scared of commitment. At what was supposed to be a good day for proposal (her birthday), they broke off. Thus, Riya asks her family members - matchmaker Bua Rajni (Grusha Kapoor), mother Himani (Supriya Shukla) and father Prakash (Amit Singh Thakur) to find a man for her to get married to. The sister Siya (Bhavya Grover) is one savage woman, but the complete opposite of her sister.
Riya’s lovers, including Karan Wahi’s Jogi and Pulkit Makol's Arf Iqbal, explored
Kashish Saluja's Sahil Anand is in love with Riya, but cannot say it. He is among the creeps on the show, but the slightly decent one.
Dejected after dealing with creeps back-to-back, Tanvi finally finds her Mr. Right. In fact, she finds two men and dates them both till she settles for one. Turns out, they all have a hidden secret. Thus, the fairytale does not last too long.
Karan Wahi's Jogindar Hooda accidentally meets Riya in the ladies' washroom, when his mother is upset with him. Theirs is a match made by the mother. They keep meeting co-incidentally in awkward situations, with the second time being when her car breaks down (the numbers are also exchanged with the excuse).
Thanks to his mummy the great, the families meet and things start brewing between the two. His anger issues, though, were her biggest concern.
Of course, there was a reason for it. Jogi has not revealed some important details of his life to Riya. She, however, finds out that he has a daughter.
Pulkit Makol's Arf Iqbal, who is her BFF, is also her reality check. Obviously, there's a complicated emotion involved there, and it has been explored. Now that Arf has exposed Jogi to Riya, the new season is expected to explore what happens between them.
Riya’s best friend
Shruti Jolly's Tanvi is the third-wheeler between the BFFs. However, she ends up being Riya's best friend who helps her realize the hidden feelings for Jogi. Their cute bond is also likely to be explored further, since Tanvi is a new mother and Riya wants to be one too.
