We have already reported that Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu will be headlining a film titled Kannappa. The makers on Sunday, unveiled the character poster of actor Sarathkumar from the film, for the occasion of the actor's birthday.

Kannappa is an upcoming multi-starrer film from the Telugu film industry. The makers on Sunday, unveiled the character poster of actor Sarathkumar for the occasion of the actor's birthday. The Tamil actor plays the role of Nathanadhudu. The poster features him with long hair, as he wields swords on both his hands, and appearing to be screaming.

It is to be noted that, Kannappa, which is directed by filmmaker Mukesh Kumar Singh, has a stellar ensemble cast hailing from various industries. It has screenplay written by Vishnu Manchu himself. Besides Vishnu Manchu and Sarathkumar, the film also features actors Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Prabhas, Preity Mukundhan, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. The details of their roles have been kept under wraps.

Based on true story, Kannappa will have a multi-lingual release in languages including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. It is produced by Mohan Babu under the banners 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment. The technical crew consists of cinematographer Sheldon Chau and editor Anthony Gonsalvez. Stephen Devassay is the music director of the film.

The film was in the news after Manchu Vishnu had also printed the story of Kannappa as a book and released it on the occasion of his father, legendary actor Mohan Babu's birthday, sometime back. Touted to be a mythological fantasy film, Kannappa is said to be based on the character Kannappa who is known to be an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Shiva. The teaser of the film was released sometime back. A release date for Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa is yet to be announced by the team, with the film to be in the making for a while now.
