HBD Prithviraj Sukumaran: L2 Empuraan makers unveil Zayed Masood's character poster from Mohanlal starrer

We had earlier reported that actor and filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran is busy with the shooting schedules of his most ambitious project L2 Empuraan featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. On Wednesday, October 16, for the occasion of Prithviraj's birthday, the makers released the character poster of the actor on social media. He will be playing the role of Zayed Masood in the film.

L2 Empuraan is one of the most expected projects shaping up in Malayalam cinema. The project has two powerhouses of talent, Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran joining hands. Mohanlal will be reprising his much-loved character Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam in the film, which is the second installment in the Lucifer franchise.
On Wednesday, the makers of L2 Empuraan released the character poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran on the actor's birthday. He will be playing the role of Zayed Masood. One can see Prithviraj in black attire as he is armed with a rifle. He is seen wearing a black cap and coolers while looking dapper in a background set against the interior of a building.
His character plays the right-hand and confidante of protagonist Khureshi Abraam, in the franchise. Unlike the first installment Lucifer, the actor-filmmaker is expected to have a longer screen time in the upcoming second part, penned by Murali Gopy.

L2 Empuraan is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas. Besides Mohanlal and Prithviraj, the film also stars Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Arjun Das, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Fazil and Sachin Khedekar.
The technical crew consists of Sujith Vaassudev cranking the camera and Deepak Dev as the composer. Akhilesh Mohan is the editor of the film. While a release date is yet to be announced by the makers, L2 Empuraan will be released in Malayalam, Tami, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
