It’s actor Karthi’s birthday! The actor, who made a remarkable debut with Paruthiveeran, has given some iconic roles in the past. While there is no deny in the fact that most of Karthi’s films have been expecting a sequel, the one that is the most expected is Kaithi. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Karthi played the famous convict on parole, Dilli. While we wait for the sequel, here is where you can watch the film. Where to watch Kaithi?

Kaithi marks director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second film. However, it is the first chapter in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which also includes the worlds of Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram and Vijay’s Leo. Kaithi is about a convict on parole, who is tasked with the mission to aid police officers trace and capture a drug bust in return to meet his daughter. The film is available for streaming on Aha and OTTplay Premium.

Kaithi is backed by Dream Warrior Pictures and has music by Sam CS. Apart from Karthi, the film also stars Narain, Arjun Das, Dheena among others. The makers had announced that a sequel of the film will be coming soon.

What will be Kaithi 2 be about?

It is to be noted that apart from Kaithi, the Dilli character made a voice appearance in the Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram, further instigating interest in the project. Kaithi 2 is expected to be a prequel to Dilli’s character and how he is subsequently connected to the other instalments. It will be interesting to see how Lokesh will put together the various characters from his star-studded universe to come together.

Karthi had earlier stated that they will go on floors next year. The actor is currently working with Prem Kumar of 96 fame for a film titled Meiyazhagan. The makers released the posters from the film recently. It also stars Arvind Swamy and Sri Divya in pivotal roles.
