Following its theatrical premiere, Gumasthan, the most recent Malayalam film, is getting positive reviews from viewers. The film is receiving favourable feedback despite playing on fewer screens along with other box office successes, which has now led to a wider release in other states and the GCC.

Gumasthan release update

On September 27, the thriller, in which Dileesh Pothan and Bibin George play important parts, debuted on big screens around Kerala. On October 4, it was released in theatres in Chennai and Karnataka. On October 10, it will make its GCC debut. The makers of Gumasthan had recently revealed that Turbo star, Raj B Shetty's production house, Lighter Buddha, bagged the distribution rights of the movie in Karnataka.

Gumasthan: All you need to know

"Have you seen a spider weaving its web?," the narrator of the movie's trailer begins. "It sets its trap to catch its target. And sits in the centre of the web awaiting the arrival of the prey," he adds. This implies a criminal who devises every scheme to apprehend its victim.

The brutal individual suspected of perpetrating a crime is then introduced in the trailer. Since there is no proof against him, the police appear to be in the dark. Even his wife fears that one day he would kill her, but the police are having a hard time with this case because there is insufficient evidence. All hope is placed in the hands of policeman Hameed, who is certain that the vicious individual is at fault.

Bibin George plays a budding musician who even struggles to attain his aspirations. Additionally, he gives off the impression of being a young man who stumbles into this case accidently.

The director of the movie is Amal K Joby. The screenplay for the movie was written by Riyaz Izmath. In supporting parts are Azees Nedumangad, Shaju Sreedhar, Alexander Prasanth, Jais Jose, Bindu Sajeev, Sminu Shijo, Neema Mathew, and Rony David Raj. Gumasthan is financed by the Muzafir Film Company.
