'Powder': KRG Studios - TVF first collab packs a bunch, release date announced
A little while ago, KRG Studios announced that the film will be missing this date, albeit by a whisker. Powder’s new release date is August 23. The official announcement read, “Powder has got a new date to spread the fragrance of fun and laughter to our favourite audiences.” This is the second postponement of the film, which according to the makers, is a comic caper. Powder was initially meant to be an April 5 release and had been pushed to August 15 as soon as Shivarajkumar’s Bhairathi Ranagal vacated the date.
The KRG -TVF Collaboration
The collaboration with TVF, according to Karthik Gowda of KRG Studios, marks a new chapter for the banner. The two teams will work on films across all four south Industries, one project at a time. When the collaboration was announced, Karthik had said that two scripts for Kannada films had been zeroed in, following which they’d look at making movies in other languages.

Vijay Babu of Friday Film Factory is also acting in KRG Studios’ ongoing production Uttarakaanda, a two-part gangster flick set in North Karnataka. The film is being directed by Rohit Padakki, with Dhananjaya in the lead and Shivarajkumar in a pivotal role. The film brings Aishwarya Rajesh to Kannada cinema.
