The project garnered attention recently when the original female lead, Shruti Haasan, departed for reasons that remain undisclosed. Subsequently, the producers have cast Mrunal Thakur in her stead.

The most recent update indicates that the film included the opportunity for an additional female lead, with Wamiqa Gabbi being selected for the part. The production team has presented the initial glimpse of her character today. Wamiqa portrays Agent 116, a role filled with action that underscores her serious demeanour, as emphasized by the striking poster that accompanied the announcement.

Adivi Sesh has authored the screenplay for the film, which is under the direction of Vinay Kumar. The filming is currently taking place in Paris, with Wamiqa already part of the production team. Vinay Kumar has previously served as an assistant director on Goodachari and Major, both featuring Sesh, which makes him a fitting choice for this endeavour.

Wamiqa Gabbi has recently attracted attention for her performance in Baby John, although the film, which stars Varun Dhawan and is produced by Atlee, did not achieve commercial success. Nevertheless, her portrayal was noteworthy, and audiences are looking forward to her role in Goodachari 2.
